Black Cabinet

The Black Cabinet was an informal group of African American public policy advisors to United States President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. By mid 1935 45 African Americans were working in cabinet offices and New Deal agencies. Two of its more prominent members were Ralph Bunche and Mary Jane McLeod Bethune.
