Big Youth (Manley Augustus Buchanan) is a Jamaican DJ in the toasting tradition, mostly known for his albums during the 1970s. He was born in 1955 in Trenchtown, Kingston, Jamaica. Influenced by U-Roy, he started singing with the Lord Tippertone's sound system in 1970. His first LP Chi Chi Run is produced by Prince Buster in 1971.
