Beta Chi Theta

Beta Theta Chi National Fraternity is a national South Asian fraternity that was founded in 1999 at the University of California, Los Angeles. Begun by 8 students, the men were recognized by the university on June 2 and granted membership into the UCLA Inter-Fraternity Council. Today, Beta Theta Chi has over 300 brothers in California, Oklahoma, Texas, Indiana, and Tennessee. The brotherhood actively promotes service to humanity, South Asian awareness, and academic excellence.

Philanthropy

Although classified as a social fraternity, Beta Chi Theta promotes service to humanity. Many local chapters host "service weeks" in an effort to focus their energies to a particular problem. For example, at the University of Texas, the Eta Chapter hosts a week in the Spring of every year known as BHD Week (Beating Heart Disease Week). During this week they provide extensive awareness and fundraising to the causes, effects, and cures of heart disease.

Alumni

Beta Chi Theta believes strongly in unified nationwide network of alumni, as the bonds of brotherhood last a lifetime. Beta Chi Theta alumni believe in helping their fellow brothers by providing guidance and counseling about the job market to their brothers.
