Beldegg

In Norse mythology, King Beldegg of North Saxony was a son of Odin.

"Beldegg" or "Beldeg" is the ancestor name stated in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle for the Anglo-Saxon kings of England. They are supposed to stem from the sons of Odin that, according to Snorri Sturluson's Edda, were set to rule the Saxon territories of Germany when Odin in Ynglinga saga moved north, first to Fyn and Odense and then to Svitjod.

In the Scandinavian version of this tradition, Beldegg is the same as Balder.
