Beaverton, Ontario

Beaverton is a community in Ontario, Canada. It lies on the eastern shore of Lake Simcoe, about 100km north of Toronto. It is located in Brock Township in the Regional Municipality of Durham.

The entire township of Brock has about 12 000 residents, but there are several small communities that make up that number.

There are three elementary schools in Beaverton, including Beaverton Public School, Thorah Public School, and Holy Family Catholic school. The secondary school, Brock High School, is in nearby Cannington. There is also an arena, a curling club, a library, several baseball diamonds and parks, as well as a small harbour and yacht club.

In the summer, Beaverton is a somewhat popular tourist destination, as there are plenty of opportunities for fishing, swimming, and boating. The Trent-Severn waterway is connected to the lake.
