"Batatinha", or António Melo (real name) (1957 - ) is a famous Portuguese clown.

He now has a daily show on Portuguese TV station TVI called Batatoon .

In the early years of his career he worked with another famous Portuguese clown named Croquete and since their separation has worked with Companhia .

Had a show on Portuguese national television (RTP) called Vamos ao Circo with Companhia.

In 2003 Batatinha and Companhia parted away. Since then Batatinha has been working with no partner.
