Babe I'm Gonna Leave You

"Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" is a folk song performed by Joan Baez and most famously by the rock group Led Zeppelin, on their 1969 debut album. The band was inspired to cover the song after hearing Baez's version and credited it as a traditional arrangement since they did not know who wrote it. They later found out it was written by a folk singer named Anne Briggs , and credited it to "Anne Bredon".

Guitarist Jimmy Page recorded two other versions of the song, one with Marianne Faithfull, and the other with Steve Winwood, in 1968. The Winwood version was never released.
