Bachelor of Accountancy

(Redirected from B.Acc.)

The degree of Bachelor of Accountancy is the principal academic degree in Accountancy. It is abbreviated B.Acc. It is not to be confused with B.Bus. (Accounting) and B.Com. (Accounting) which are general Business and Commerce degrees with Accounting as an area of specialisation. The B.Acc. is a specialised degree on its own.

Due to the extremely specialised nature of the B.Acc., it is a professional degree course that not many universities actually offer. In the United States, it is likely to be a four-year undergraduate degree. In other parts of the world, such as Singapore, it can be a three-year undergraduate degree course as well.

After completion of the B.Acc., a student can generally go on to work as an accountant.
