Arthur Kane

Arthur Kane (February 3, 1951 - July 13, 2004) played in the band Actress as a bassist. This later led to the legendary band, the New York Dolls. His nickname was Arthur "Killer" Kane.

Later in his life, Kane sought out a higher level of spirituality, eventually becoming an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ("Mormons") [1]. A film, New York Doll[2], exploring the change in Kane's life and a band reunion organized by the British rocker Morrissey, premiered at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. [3]

He died of complications related to leukemia (which he didn't know he had).

Arthur Kane briefly cooperated with Blackie Lawless from WASP in a band called Killer Kane (Single "Mr. Cool").
