Artemisia annua)
Sweet Wormwood (Artemisia annua), also known as Sweet Annie or Chinese wormwood, is a common type of weed that grows throughout the world. It has fern-like leaves, bright yellow flowers, and a camphor-like scent.
Sweet Wormwood has recently come into the limelight for being the type of wormwood from which the anti-malarial drug artemisinin is made. Artemisinin is also known by the Chinese name qinghaosu and has been used in traditional Chinese medicine since 340s for the treatment of fever.
