Apt is a market town and a commune in the Vaucluse département, in southern France. It is the principal town of the Luberon mountains and a sous-préfecture of the département. Population (1999): 11,488.

Apt lies north of Aix-en-Provence and the river Durance. The region is a center for wine, honey and truffles.
