The Anshan-class destroyers of the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) were the first destroyer units of China. These were basically ex-Soviet Gordy -class destoyers acquired in the 1950's. Once the most powerful vessels in the PRC arsenal, they have been stricken by the 1990's.
