Anadoluhisari is a castle in Istanbul Strait, Bosporus. In English it is called Anatolian Castle . It was built in 1393 by the Ottoman emperor Bayezid II "The Thunderbolt" in order to prepare to lay siege at Constantinople (the area between the Golden Horn and the Sea of Marmara of today's Istanbul).
