Alyn and Deeside was a local government district in Wales from 1974 to 1996. There is still a parliamentary constituency of the same name.

The district was formed on April 1, 1974, from the urban districts of Buckley and Connah's Quay, and most of Hawarden Rural District .

It was abolished on April 1, 1996 and merged into the new unitary Flintshire.
