Alpuente is a town in the province of the Valencian Country, Spain.
It was the capital of a Spanish Muslim kingdom in the 11th century, ruled by the dynasty of Beni Kasim , an offshoot of the more famous group that ruled the Ebro Valley as the Banu Qasi some centuries before.
