Allister Cucksey is a young politician in Manitoba, Canada. He ran as a candidate of the Communist Party of Canada in the 2004 general election, in the Manitoba riding of Portage--Lisgar .

Cucksey was a 23-year old university student at the time of the election, serving as secretary of the Brandon and Area Environmental Council. He is also a member a Young Communist League, and has worked on issues relating to the environment, sustainable agriculture, medicare and other issues.

Cucksey was the first Communist candidate to run in Portage--Lisgar since 1945, and made raising the minimum wage his primary issue. He received 117 votes, or less than 1% of the total in the riding.
