Alford Valley Railway

The Alford Valley Railway, built in 1859, was a Great North of Scotland Railway branch line from Kintore, northwest of Aberdeen. The line is now closed but the 2 ft (601 mm) narrow gauge line now runs for part of its length. There is a railway museum at Kintore.
