Alda Lara

Alda Ferreira Pires Barreto de Lara Albuquerque (born 9 June 1930, Benguela, Angola; died 30 January 1962, Cambambe , a large poetic output in the Portuguese language. Her husband, the writer Orlando Albuquerque , set about publishing her collected works after her death.

The Alda Lara Prize (in Portuguese, Prémio Alda Lara) was established in her honour.
