November 25, 2001

• Johnny Spann , a CIA officer was killed in a firefight at a fortress in northern Afghanistan.

November 20, 2001

• Japan pledged logistics support for the U.S.-led anti-terrorism campaign in and around Afghanistan for six months.

November 19, 2001

• Reuters journalists Harry Burton and Azizullah Haidari , Spanish journalist Julio Fuentes and Italian journalist Maria Grazia Il Cutuli were killed by unidentified gunmen at Tangi Abrishum , Afghanistan. Suspects of the murder were finally arrested April 21, 2003. On August 5, 2004, Reza Khan was formally accused of the crimes.
