Adam M-309 CarbonAero

The Adam M-309 CarbonAero is a technology demonstrator for a civil utility transport aircraft. It was designed by Burt Rutan and its "309" designation refers to this being his 309th aircraft design. It is a six-seat aircraft of unusual "push-pull" configuration, with a TCM TSIO-550 piston engine mounted in both the nose and tail ends of the fuselage. The fins and stabilizer are carried on booms stretching back from the wing.

The aircraft first flew in March 2000 and was put into development as the Adam A500.
