Adam Arkin

Adam Arkin (born 1957) in an American actor. He has appeared in several television series, among those Northern Exposure (1990), where he played the eccentric chef "Adam", and Chicago Hope (1994-2000), where he played neurosurgeon Aaron Shutt. The interaction between Arkin (as Dr. Shutt) and Mandy Patinkin (as Dr. Jeffrey Geiger) in the first season of Chicago Hope made for some high quality television.

Recent television appearances include The West Wing (1999) and 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter (2002).

He is the son of actor Alan Arkin.
