The 4 Lexington Avenue Express is a service of the New York City Subway. It is colored green, since it uses the Lexington Avenue Line through midtown. Trains of the service run all the time. The usual pattern is express through Manhattan and Brooklyn and local elsewhere; at late nights it is local everywhere. Some rush hour trips in the peak direction run to New Lots Avenue; it also extends there late nights, when the doesn't run.
The 4 is the official train of the New York Yankees, having a stop at Yankee Stadium, located at in the Bronx. Several R62 and R142 cars running on this line are decorated with Yankee logos and colors.
