The 31st Canadian parliament was a briefly-lived parliament in session from the fall of 1979 until March 1980. The membership was set by in the 1979 Canadian election and it was dissolved prior to the 1980 Canadian election. It was controlled by the Progressive Conservative Party under Joe Clark, but they only had a minority of the seats. The Official Opposition was the Liberal Party of Canada under Pierre Trudeau.
