Älmhult is a Municipality in Kronoberg County, in southern Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 893.6 km². Of the total population of 15403, 7749 are male, and 7654 are female. The population density of the community is 17 inhabitants per km².

The first IKEA store was opened in Älmhult by Ingvar Kamprad.
